Spring Teams


 

Spring 2012 Travel Team Information: Teams 9u - 17u Boys and 10u-14u Girls. Tryout Dates begin February 20th.

Boys Tryout Dates:

  • 3rd/9u*: Monday 2/20   5-6pm @ HPDS         Make-up Sunday 2/26 2-3pm @ HPDS
  • 4th/10u: Monday 2/20   6-715pm @ HPDS     Make-up Sunday 2/26 1-2pm @ HPDS
  • 5th/11u: Tuesday 2/21  730-845pm @ HPDS Make-up Sunday 2/26 1-2pm @ HPDS
  • 6th/12u: Monday  2/20  730-9pm @ HPDS     Make-up Fri 2/24 5pm-6pm @ HPDS
  • 7th/13u: Wed 2/22         7-8pm @ HPDS         Make-up Mon 2/27 8-9pm @ HPDS
  • 8th/14u: Wed 2/22         8-9pm @ HPDS         Make-up Mon 2/27 8-9pm@ HPDS

*3rd Grade/9u season will be lighter than other teams. Fees will be adjusted accordingly and a handout will be given to each family at tryouts. The RMG Spring Travel Prep will also be available for players unable to commit to full travel team schedule.

Tryouts will be held at Hyde Park Day School 1970 Old Willow Rd, Northfield, IL. Make-up tryout availables, if you are unable to make either time please contact us for other arrangements. Teams will be chosen within 1 week of primary tryout. Practices will start as soon as possible thereafter.

AAU season will consist of two practices per week from March-May and 5 tournaments. We will not conduct games or practices during the public school spring break period. Multiple teams will be fielded at most age levels, however Spring AAU basketball includes travel and all-star teams from all over the region and we will only field teams that will be competitive at this level of play. 

Participating on an RMG travel team is a commitment. It is a tremendous opportunity for players to advance their game under some of the best coaching available anywhere and at any level, while facing great competition. For players unable to make the time commitment we provide several other programs such as Gun Club or Focused Training which will allow your son or daughter to play and continue to improve at basketball during the spring, but not compromise involvement in other activities. 

For select teams additional travel tournaments will also be offered. These tournaments may include "King James" in Akron, Ohio. AAU Nationals, various locations. "Wide World of Sports National Qualifier", Disney World and "NY2LA", Milwaukee, WI.

$20/ 855 season

The fee for tryouts is $20. Fees for season, which include Nike uniform, gear, practice/training (twice per week), games and tournaments (5 tournaments 20-25 total games) is $855.
