About RMG Hoops

Entering our 4th year of basketball training and coaching, RMG Hoops continues to set itself apart with an unmatched quality of coaching and a program set designed to get the most out of athletes of all ages and at all levels.
RMG was founded by Rice University teammates Nick Robison and Omar Mance. Soon after graduating in 2003, the two started with small scale training in the North Shore, where Robison went to H.S. As the quality of coaching and training caught on, Robison and Mance began to formalize and expand the scope of training to include not just small group workouts, but developmental house leagues, AAU travel teams and camps as well. Two more outstanding coaches, former Rice point guard Rashid Smith and coaching vet Quincy French were added full time and have been huge assets to the growth of RMG.
In early Spring '07 Mance, Coach ‘O' returned to Rice as an assistant coach, which is a true testament to the caliber of coaching offered at RMG. His position has also allowed RMG Hoops to further expand its scope in getting H.S. athletes incredible exposure at the collegiate level. Coach 'O' has since returned to help take RMG to the next level. He also accepted the Varsity Coaching position at N.S.C.D this coming season. RMG Hoops will continue to expand and improve it programs and facilities and we look forward to you becoming part of our team.
